When the Chicago Public Schools needed to negotiate a contract with ComEd for electricity supply, they called upon GEV for assistance. We ran the process and developed a purchase contract that provided 675 different institutions with electricity.

Eight years later, GEV carried out a supplier comparison process and developed a contract that protected the Chicago Public Schools and included renewable energy. Thanks to GEV, Chicago's students are taught in schools that run on 20% renewable energy which comprises the largest renewable energy purchase by any U.S. school district. We repeated the process three years later.

Since '98, GEV has saved the Chicago Public Schools and Chicago taxpayers over 110 million dollars under three different administrations including that of current U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.

Sears Tower (Now Willis Tower)

When electricity competition began in Illinois, Trizec Properties, Inc. asked GEV President and CEO Patrick Giordano to analyze its electricity supply options for Sears Tower and four other Chicago office buildings. The results were impressive. Giordano negotiated agreements with suppliers that resulted in savings of over $5 million over 3 years.
